“The Historic Erase of a People: Identity on Fire”
carving in book with acrylics, 23,5 x 12 cm, 2020.
My artwork aims to represent the ongoing suppression of indigenous cultures and languages in the Americas. Since the arrival of the Europeans, Christian missionaries have taken away their freedom of religion, settlers have taken their holy lands, and laws have prohibited them of speaking their own dialects. Not much has changed: 500 groups face risk of extermination, while their folklores and traditions sink down as savagery in the eyes of globalization. As portrayed, they burn in the fire of their own oblivion.
"Resistance on forest"
Acrylics on carton, 70x50cm, 2020
They call it a discovery, when in fact it has been populated by millennia. Since colonialism started in America, the indigenous people in Brazil are constantly exposed to an end, either if it is by the destruction of their environment or the erase of their culture.

"Identity and Sexual Violence on Woman"
Mixed Media, colored pencils, collage and spray.
70x50cm, 2020
“Mixed” women in Brazil are hypersexualized, while detached from any cultural background – fitting in no box and misplaced in history and time. The piece represents the motherly origins of the country: rape, racial whitening, and resistance. The hands, at the same time that show the greed of male offense, tell her story.

“Sketch of the Armenian Quarter, Old City of Jerusalem”
pencil on paper, 15x 10 cm, 2019
Each wall in the old city of Jerusalem keeps its secrets, from Judas' words to the love letters sent by the crusaders. This sketch was done during my time in there, but due to matters of time, the crowd of tourists and busy Armenians was not included.
“O RIO DE JANEIRO CONTINUA LINDO”
80X60CM. COLLAGE, CARTON AND SPRAY ON CANVAS, 2019
In this artwork, I aim to represent the landscape of Rio: incredibly beautiful, but ruled by social inequality. As in real life, Christ the Redeemer has its arms open to the wealthy, and his back turned to the slum. Besides the public mistreatment given to citizens of the favelas, they resist faithful, lively, and colorful.
“Death and Life”
Guache on Carton
70x50cm, 2020
Inspired by Gustav Klimt, I aimed to create an Amazon version of his infamous piece, with mention to the events of the beginning of 2020: the forest fires and the spread of the virus among the indigenous people.

“Never again again”
pencil on paper and digital media, 2019
Inspired by my visit to the Holocaust Museum of Jerusalem, Yad Vashem, I reflected on the meaning of the slogan never again. The bloody eyes of the victims of hate, their dehumanization, and their efforts to stop similar events from happening.
In the end, human scrutiny survives and carried deaths in Rwanda, Bosnia, Armenia, and many other locations, although not fully recognized.

"Second Law of Thermodynamics"
Mixed Media, colored pencils, collage and acrylics.
30x25cm, 2020
This chaotic sketch dispenses further explanation. Enjoy yourself giving your own understanding.
